Fluorinated ethylene-propylene (FEP) is the copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and hexafluoropropylene (HFP) with excellent thermo-stability and chemical inertness, outstanding electrical insulation and very low friction coefficient. The thermoplastic process techniques can be used to fabricate useful products from FEP.
Melt flow rate(g/10min)
Elongation at break(%)≥
Extrusion, compress molding, transmission molding
Excellent thermal-stress craze resistance, used as anti-corrosive internal gasket and various molding products.
Package, storage and transportation
FEP resin pellet is sealed with two layers of polyethylene sack, packed in hard paper drum with net weight 25kg per drum, and should be stored in clean and dry warehouses to avoid pollution from impurities. The processing temperature should be below400°Cto avoid releasing toxic gases.
